Project Story
Challenge
The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) is a prestigious engineering and technology institute in India. It has over 10,000 students and faculty members, and its campus is spread over 1,000 acres. The institute was facing a challenge in managing its heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems efficiently. The HVAC systems were consuming a large amount of energy, and the institute was keen on finding a way to reduce its energy costs and emissions.
Solution
IIT Kanpur partnered with Net0Link, a leading provider of digital twin technology to pilot a digital twin AI HVAC solution. The digital twin is a virtual representation of the institute's HVAC systems. It is created using data from sensors installed in the HVAC systems. The data is used to create a model of the systems, which can then be used to simulate their performance.
